$2 Summer movies at the theater close to the house-sounds great! Even better, the first one of the summer is Sesame Street: Follow That Bird! Yay! Brooklyn will love seeing Elmo (her favorite) and all of the other characters! This will be a great movie to try out the theater for the first time! Those were all the positive thoughts going into the movie! Brooklyn and I went with Mason and his mommy Rachel. We had the perfect snacks for the kids, plenty to drink, booster seats for them-all was good!
While waiting for the movie to start both Mason and Brooklyn kept saying "Elmo, Elmo, Elmo!". We told them in just a little bit he would be on the big tv.
The kids lasted an hour, which wasn't too bad! Not only were the kids disappointed in NO Elmo, but Rachel and I were too! Lesson learned: next time you take your child to a movie make sure their favorite character is actually going to be in it!!
